Wakuden Muromachi

Wakuden Muromachi apparently has other branches. Does that make it like a franchise? Doesn't matter though the food is still fresh, tasty, classy and still rates 1 Michelin star. Many of the restaurants we've been going to have private dining rooms and we were offered one once but we prefer to sit at the counter and watch the chefs at work. You feel like part of the performance and more involved that way. This place has a really high ceiling above where we sat - a good 3 storeys high wooden beamed ceiling. The sake was served from a bamboo jug into bamboo cups which we hadn't seen before. Again the food and sake were excellent.
