Last meal with the Germans in Sydney

The Kößers are finishing up their sojourn to Sydney with an Italian meal at Buon Gusto in Chippendale. Tomorrow they're off on a bus tour with a bunch of other Germans to sunny FNQ (Far North Queensland). Have fun Kößers, it was a pleasure to show you around Sydney.

Back down to Paddy's Market

Market City for lunch

Lunch in the food hall at Market City - just upstairs from Paddy's Market.

Paddy's Market

Karlheinz scores a new leather hat at the Market. It will keep the sun off for the rest of their trip up North - it gets hot in Queensland. Paddy's Market is at Haymarket (Chinatown).

Queen Victoria Building

We're shopping with the tourists today. First stop the historic Queen Victoria Building next to the Town Hall in Sydney.

Of course we have dessert

Recently I've been lucky enough to hit both the major pancake franchises in Oz. Here at Pancakes On the Rocks and The Pancake Parlour in Canberra. It was okay tonight but I have to say that as far as pancakes go I have to give the points to the Pancake Parlour. Unfortunately there hasn't been a Pancake Parlour in Sydney for sometime - they're limited to Melbourne and Canberra these days - and Pancakes On The Rocks just misses the mark. Service was good though. We had a girl from Lyon in France on a working visa doing the waiting. She was excited about visiting the West and North of Oz in a few weeks.

Pancakes

Chicken and mushroom crepe. Or it was. Couldn't wait.

Just off the bridge for a cold one then train home.
