Restaurant Balzac 4

Petit fours and coffee and that was that from Restaurant Balzac in Randwick. Balzac has just been awarded 2 Chefs Hats from The Good Food Guide and has had 2 Hats for about the last 5 years running. To be honest it was pretty good but there was no "wow" factor. Beats eating in on a Tuesday night though.

Pre-Dessert of a Strawberry spider. Yuuuuuummm!
Chocolate Pave on 75% cacao chocolate with rice bubbles, espresso coffee gelato and candied chestnuts.

Kid, Smoked Ham and Foie Gras Terrine, Beetroot, Pureed goats cheese and Watercress.

Braised Veal Shin, Roast Sweetbreads, Bone Marrow and Spring Vegetables.

We couldn't be fracked cooking tonight so decided to head over to Randwick and eat at Restaurant Balzac.
We also couldn't be fracked choosing from the menu so we decided to go with the degustation menu.
Canape to start, Cured Wagyu Bresaola with roquette and aioli followed by an amuse bouche of Yabby bisque with Basil Chantilly cream.
Salad of Heritage Tomatoes with Brunet Goats Cheese, Red Onion Confit, Sommariva Olives.
Pan fried King Salmon with a Mussel, Smoked Cod and Sweet Corn Chowder.
