Becasse - Heroes and Masters

As part of the Sydney International Food Festival Becasse is participating in Hats Off. Tonight we having the Heroes and Masters degustation. It is a tribute to Justin's heroes and masters and the dishes they've enjoyed over the years.

Beetroot and Orange - Oooh this is weird but delicious.
I got a top up of the Champagne... heh heh heh.

  1. Love the becasse post. Been very few postings on the SFF in general, and I was wondering if the SMH was doing some unsubtle censoring.

    We are off to the H&M dinner tonight and cant wait.

    I still dont understand why becasse is rated below some of the other restaurants in sydney. It deserve better IMHO.

    Its totally consistent: service impeccable, food sublime. And most of the time i can recognize whats on the plate and trace. Cant abide cucumber foam.

  3. Great dinner! Kitchen had a slight hiccup half way through with most of the upper tables waiting 45 minutes for a bouillabaisse course that arived cool. Wine was well matched and so much food. We rolled out the door.

  4. That is a shame about the delay. I almost forgot about the wine. It was well matched. Sommeliers these days are so good in some places we hardly bother reading the wine list any more... we just ask them for their recommendations.
