A couple of days ago. Tuesday night to be exact. Copernicus was on my lap doing his kneading thing and I felt some liquid drop onto my hand. Initially I thought it was Perni drooling. But it wasn't, it was blood. Blood was dripping from Perni's nose. A couple of other drops fell onto the carpet. We cleaned him up and took him to the Newtown vet because it is open till 11pm. The vet there said it could be anything from a bacterial infection to cancer or even rat poison or blood diseases. She took some blood from Perni to test.
We got the results the next day. The blood work clears Perni of blood related issues so that leaves anything from shit happens to fungal infections or tumours. Today we took him to our usual vet in Surry Hills and he suggested we do another blood test on Saturday and take it from there. One step at a time.
