Kenji

Kenji is a sushi bar under the Opera House fore court. Most excellent sushi it is too. Some of the best we've had in Sydney. Georgia devoured the seared salmon sushi and ended up having more than one.

3 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

Amazingly easy to make chocolate cake in a mug. Unfortunately I think I nuked it for slightly too long so it had the consistency of rubber. It has potential and I may try it again.

Almost crawling but I have sitting up nailed...

Georgia is 8 and half months old this is her first time on the grass in the park. She's almost crawling, but not quite.

Georgie loves the swing too...

Steak Tartare

Michelle's steak tartare. It's just raw steak and an egg right? Heh. This is a finely chopped fillet steak with herbs, onions, oil, toast and a quail egg. The meat is ever so buttery and delicate. This was as good as any from a classy French restaurant. I live with a Three Star Chef.

All tuckered out after a big day at the Fish Market

We did see fish

Sparkadia at the Metro

Pop music at its best. A strong performance of some really catchy, IMHO, tunes. I love Talking Like I’m Falling down Stairs and China. Even the semi-religious Mary is deadset dancey and infectious. I had a very cool albeit solo night out.

Here's a review from FasterLouder.

Week 1 - 118 kg

Week 1 using BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) to "diet". BMR is worked out by calculating the weight you want to be with your current height, weight etc. The formula then gives you the number of calories you'd be consuming at the target weight to maintain that weight. All you have to do is consume that amount, or less, of calories per day. Easy. Sort of. Daily target is about 2400 calories. Toast (2 slices) with margarine, for example, is about 700 calories. Almost a third of your daily allowance in one hit. Bugger.

Weight this morning using home scales - 118 kg. Last week at the doctors it was about 124 kg (fully clothed and shoes).

My First Father's Day

I couldn't love this little Princess or her mother any more I think.
